Injection Molding

Over the past 24 years many things have changed in the injection molding field. Over the years equipment has been developed to produce tooling that would have been considered impossible just those few years ago. The trick in prototyping is to know when and how to use these tools.

Over the same 24 years we have been striving to retain the old techniques and tricks. At the same time educating ourselves to keeping abreast of all the new tools available in today's market. Only by doing this can we give you the service that you demand.

In the area of prototype molding we have developed many of our own tools and techniques that allow us to mold your parts in the material that you require. One such tools is the "Hand Mold". This tool is assembled and disassembled by hand as the name states.

Over the years we have molded materials as common as ABS, PP, and PS. More importantly we can make your parts out of more exotic materials if necessary such as PPS, PPO, PolySulfone, or materials with glass, carbon, or ptfe fill. All using these tools. This is important for testing and further development. Only by testing the actual material in a molded part can you get accurate test results.

These Tools are machined in any number of materials from aluminum to steel and done in a fashion that allows easy modifications for necessary design changes. The materials selection would be done with your needs in mind. We can also incorporate Threaded cores and intricate core assemblies easily and efficiently.

Tools of this nature have been made for many years. They have been in production for just as many years. It is not uncommon for a "Hand Mold" to run 100,000 + parts with no signs of cavity wear. Making them the perfect tool for short run production situations.

If you know that you are in a short run production situation then you may require a basic automatic tool. By using the same techniques for tool construction we can design and manufacture them efficiently. At that time you would be able to still order in small quantities while reaping the cost benefits of automatic tooling.
